Despite our new name, Denver-based Wood Box Studios has been around for six years (the artists formerly known as Technicolor Vision). Since our inception in 2011, we've grown both personally and as a business. We're so excited to have Rachel Moore joining us in 2017. Rachel brings not only amazing skills in portraits, particularly working with individuals, but is also an emerging videographer. We look forward to expanding our offerings to include video services in the near future. Can't wait to work with you!
Allie has been learning about photography since 2006, when she and Jay met in a dark room photo class. She loves talking about the law and riding her bike around town. You might catch her napping in an evening restorative yoga class. She has an amazing talent to make people comfortable in front of the camera. She is incredible with kids, and loves chasing them around the house or playground, camera in tow.
Rachel got her start learning photography picking up Allie's camera on when she set it down and snapping pictures on vacation, of party guests, dogs, and cousins. Since then, she has bloomed into an extraordinarily talented photographer who can put anyone at ease in front of the camera. Her wild antics will make you laugh harder than you thought you could during a portrait session. Her skills as a photographer are unreal, especially with seniors and headshot sessions. She is currently studying business in Fort Collins and can surely be found hiking around Horsetooth with her friends, family, and dog nieces.
There're no doubt about it: Jay is a nerd. But he's finally grown to accept that. He loves Harry Potter, maybe a little more than is normal, and will talk your ear off about anything math or tech related. Since his darkroom days, Jay has traded in his 70s Canon AE manual camera for the tech-filled DSLRs of today. He loves working with couples, and making fun of himself as much as he has to so you feel comfortable having your picture taken.
